up to the Bluff Hill Lookout for stunning and expansive views of Hawke
Bay. Then grab some delicious fish & chips and eat them on the beach

- Visit
the National Aquarium where you can see a plethora of fish and New Zealand's
icon the kiwi bird. There is also shark feeding in the main tank. You
can also organise to have birthday parties here!

- When
driving around the region don't forget to stop at one of the many road
side fruit stalls and pick up some great tasting fresh fruit -apples,
peaches, nectarines, pears, plums, strawberries, apricots....................

- A unique
attraction is the gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers -believed to be one
of only two mainland gannet colonies in the world.

- Head
to Ahuriri for sailing, windsurfing, indoor climbing, kayak hire, diving
or eating at the bars & cafes or cook a barbeque.

- Feeling
energetic? How about a round of golf. There are many courses in the
region and fees are reasonable.

- Do some
shopping in Emerson Street -Napiers main street and relax with a cappacino
and a lamington outdoors in one of the many cafes.

- Interested
in Maori culture? Visit a well known Napier identity on the Marine Parade
-Pania of the Reef statue and learn about this famous Maori legend or
organise an overnight stay on a marae. Also try the Hawkes Bay Museum
for maori treasures.

- Dinner
can be a hard choice -there are cuisines from all around the world -Italian,
Thai, Chinese or perhaps just a typical New Zealand meal "roast
of the day' with roast potato, kumera (sweet potato), & parsnips
from a local pub.
